She brings over 24 years of rehabilitation nursing experience to the company. She earned a BSN from Pittsburg State University and holds a Masters in Nursing from the University of Washington with a neuroscience focus. She has worked across the rehabilitation continuum from acute care to post-acute care to community and home in helping people with chronic illness and disability learn to manage their conditions and live their lives to the fullest.
In addition she has several years of experience in research and has been involved in a multitude of quality improvement activities over the years and understands the need for a systematic data driven healthcare system to base decision making. She brings a unique personal perspective and understanding to the lives of those with disabilities and chronic conditions in that her husband of 20 years has quadriplegia.
