CHC Services specializes in providing care by registered nurses and licensed nurses in the home to someone on mechanical ventilation.

Providing care in the home to someone on mechanical ventilation is intense and sometimes overwhelming to family members and other loved ones. CHCServices can help by providing nurses who are trained in ventilator management.


The goals of In Home Ventilator care include:

  • Continuous safety of the client
  • Client comfort
  • Training and education of family or other caregivers as needed
  • Medical stability
  • Accurate provision of medications or treatments
  • Clean environment for client care
  • Advocacy of client health care needs
  • Improved quality of life for the client and family
  • Respite for the family


Services that our Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) provide include:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Suctioning of the airway to clear it of obstruction
  • Wound and dressing care
  • Administration of tube feedings
  • Medication monitoring and administration
  • Catheter care
  • Training/education of family or care givers on all aspects of care
  • Collaborating with the medical team and physicians to ensure carry over of instructions from clinic or hospital to home.
  • Ventilator weaning in collaboration with the medical team
  • Working in collaboration with a speech pathologist to improve communication while on a ventilator
  • Monitoring of nutritional and hydration factors to promote wellness
  • Assistance with community activities and appointments
